So, what does the Hinge app really look like? Based on their minimalist Instagram page, "the app designed to be deleted" could have taken many different forms, but here's what it really is
A simple but intuitive design in the brand colors of black and white. A fairly tedious registration process to discourage the less motivated and provide quality profiles. A minimum of 3 answers to 3 questions of your choice, which will be displayed on your profile to facilitate initial contact. The possibility of answering other questions, posting photos, videos and even voice messages explaining the pronunciation of your first name, for example. Likes and roses to show your interest in a profile. Paid options for the greedy. Hinge is all this in a single platform. Isn't that great?

I know you're intrigued, dear readers, and I understand because I was just like you. Curious and forward-thinking as I am, I couldn't resist. But for a good cause! I wanted to try it out so as to give you real feedback on the platform, but also on the "post-platform" experience, because the experience goes beyond the screen.
To quickly remind you who I am (in case you missed me on the About Us section of this blog), I'm 23 years old and a business school student. To tell you the truth, the world of dating app was unknown to me for a long time. Then one day I decided not to die a fool and tried out a number of dating apps. From Tinder to Bumbble to Fruitz, I couldn't find what I was looking for.
Hinge presented itself to me as a new opportunity, and I was immediately won over by the concept. I find the idea modern, avant-garde and a far cry from one-night stands with no prospect of tomorrow.
Overall, the interface is easy to use, although some of the functions are not extremely intuitive. The principle is well thought-out, and you can really build a profile that suits you. There's a wide choice of questions to answer, with topics ranging from the light-hearted to the profound. This makes it possible to create genuine connections even at a distance.
As for the encounter and experience beyond the interface, I'll leave you to discover.
